With so much intense energy moving through the collective right now, what a great time to pause and acknowledge ALL that you've been doing. Healing is messy and it can be challenging at times, but it's so important to find the balance in this journey. This weekend let's focus on appreciating our growth, the progress we've made, and the changes we are implementing by taking some time to do a self-love candle.
What You'll Need:
*Pink or White Taper Candle
*Candle holder (or fire safe tray or dish)
*Foil
*Oil for dressing your candle
*Herbs: (pick any of the following)
♡Rosemary
♡Basil
♡Cinnamon
♡ Dried Rose Petal
♡Cardamom
♡Butterfly Pea Flower
♡Rose Hips
♡Jasmine
♡Lavender
(You can use a mortar and pestle to grind up the herbs of your choice into a finer blend or simply use your hands to break them down into smaller pieces if you prefer. You will use this blend later when dressing your candle)
Start by grabbing a piece of paper and writing down the things you are proud of yourself for. Celebrate and acknowledge ALL your wins!
Next you want to dress your candle, first with oil and second with the herbs of your choice. If your new to candle magic, check out our article on how to dress a candle for a more detailed explanation.
Now that your candle is dressed, grab your candle holder. If using a fire safe tray or dish, you can line it with foil for easy clean up.
Spend some time with your candle before lighting it. Speak out loud the things you had previously written down. Take note of how you feel as you celebrate your wins and show yourself appreciation and gratitude for all that you have been doing lately.
When you're ready, let your candle! Remember this is YOUR practice, you can incorporate other things like crystals, offerings, etc...add your personal flair to what you're doing. And always remember to practice fire safety.
~P.S. For our overthinkers, don't overcomplicate this. Use what you have...check your spice cabinet when it comes to making an herb blend. Candles and candle holders can be found super cheap at places like Dollar Tree.
