Mini Tarot Reading for the Week of 7/17 - 7/23 (Tossed by Erika M.)

This week's tarot card read, starts off boldly with the "Hanged Man" card. A catalyst or something happened that made you take a step back. It could be a reflective moment that was shown to you, with our New Moon on the 17th of this month, bringing something front and center, shedding light on it. Instead of being completely swept up in this happening, you took a step back and decided to take the seat of the observer this time. You tried to look at things from not only a higher perspective, but an alternative one than you previously had. This catalyst could be a cycle or a situation you are currently involved in. The image of him being hung upside down offers an entirely new way of looking at something.

Our next card out is the "Ace of Wands", which talks all about how this new perspective will allow you to harness and plant your inner flame in the ground. It allows you to see things for what they are, choosing to harness your inner Magik, and move forward. It's the first spark of something bigger. It's in its early stages, so it will need to be nurtured and feed, in order for, it to build into something great.

Moving into the "Eight of Pentacles" this card, to me, talks all about slow, steady, balance, and organized movement. This talks all about what you have been doing while taking a step back and looking inward, while harnessing your inner flame. This card specifically in this deck, also deals with the web of the spider. Physically tiding your space and getting everything strategically placed. A feeling of being methodical in the way of crossing your T's and dotting your I's, ensuring everything is going according to plan or fate. This is all moving into the idea of fate and a larger grand mastered design of not only this troublesome situation, but of your overall life.

This leads directly into the "High Priestess" card which takes me back to the "Ace of Wands", but now you are harnessing that power and it's no longer a little flame. The card shows the owl flying straight at us. It takes me to the fact that you know how newfound knowledge/ wisdom that you achieved through your time in the seat of the observer, as the hanged man. But you are also grasping more of your true essence here, of exactly who you truly are. Not who others may have wanted you to be, but a pure version of your inner flame. You are starting fresh, and your wings are out proudly for all to see, your arms are up, and you are ready to go. You having harnessed this power is bring me to the feeling of you almost being ready to put it into that movement to make some serious changes in your life.

They are offering the "Four of Pentacles" as a word of caution. My team is saying be careful of your attachment to something physical (a relation or something else materialistic in nature). They are saying you've gone through this journey so far and you've gained some things that you would willingly label as important materials. But you are holding on to them so tightly that you are failing to realize you are actually trapping yourself. You see how in this card the dragon is isolated, hoarding his gold from the nearby animals. He is so hell-bent and focused on the material things he longed for, that he's now acquired, he is obsessing and loosing himself in the process. He never leaves his nest and spreads his wings for fear of loss. What you are missing is that yes, while you have power and have many abilities, you are failing to use them and missing the overall grander picture that the thing you have longed for isn't helping you, but rather hurting you. But you need to take that step back to see it. They are saying you've become a little bit too attached to things that do not serve your greatest highest good. Things outside of yourself do not need so much of your focus, but rather what's on the inside that you need to fixate on.

This goes into the "Wheel of Fortune" card talking about how the weavers of divine fate have used a single thread to form your wheel. This brought me back to your "Eight of Pentacles" card with your carefully weaved web. This card speaks to the ever continuousness of your wheel, that this is a cycle, that you have done this over lifetimes. That you are now just starting to put the pieces together for yourself. They are saying you are not only sitting in contemplation, a little bit, and the sun is shining through the glass window, which is your wheel in this card, but also that the wheel is currently spinning. However, you may not recognize it because you are so caught up in guarding or hoarding what you think you have achieved/ earned that you don't realize that there is more to it than the material, than the relationships you hold. There's more to it than what is in front of your face, that you are still missing the grander picture. But the worst part is not only are you settling, but you are in turn limiting yourself. This feels a little like a self-sacrifice moment for you. You are being asked to limit that or do away with it completely because it is hindering you from realizing that is not what's important here.

The next card is the "Ten of Wands". I feel like this shows you trying to balance what seems like a small world. Of which my team has said is the responsibilities of others on your back. It is the need to feel as though you need to take care of everything and everyone in your space, while ensuring everything is okay for everyone around you. But what you failed to see was you didn't look at yourself and give yourself a moment to rest without the stress of others and responsibilities weighing on you. This feels like a roll you assumed and that you never really took a pause and asked yourself is this truly what you wanted? I get this feeling like nobody asked you if this was what you wanted, it was an assumed roll that has grown heavy on you. Now it's almost as if you are stuck in the tediousness of the cycle itself and also in autopilot as to your duties. The bottom of this card is darkness while the top of the village is illuminated. However, you don't get to see that because you are under it all. This brings me back to self-sacrifice for things outside of yourself.

The Next card is "the World" card and this takes me to that fact that during all of this self imposed sacrifice, out of a sense of obligation, that what you didn't realize was the world was literally in the palm of your hand. This too has been fated. It gives a warning of be careful what you tie yourself to. The half dead tree on the "Ten of Wands" is not the tree you need to be holding up. See how the world card is in full bloom. Your abundance is elsewhere, but it would take you in being the hanged man to truly see it. By this change in perspective, you will have unbound yourself. Embrace your power and use that spark. Everything your heart wants is right in front of you. Use the world in the palm of your hands as your crystal ball to look into while divining to see things clearly.

Don't forget you can achieve and have everything you want. My team is saying "Leap of Faith"! Moving out of your trapped dragon state, embracing your "High Priestess" and moving forward with the power and triumph of your ten of wands, along with the idea that, you aren't alone, that there are people there that would and could assist you. It's all already been fated so no need to stress yourself. You don't need to assume all the responsibility and hoard all the materialistic things you think you've gained, that you are truly more than that. That the world is yours, but what you need to do is sit in the highest perspective to see that.

The last card out was thrown to be the outcome of you having taken the highest perspective possible and understanding you have help and everything is already fated so no need to struggle so hard. One you harness your "Ace of Wands" and embody the "High Priestess" on this new forward moving journey it gains you the "Ten of Cups". Which talks all about bliss and happiness along with the coming together of unity. It also brings with it the calm waters, which would be balanced and fulfilled emotions. My team is saying "when this happens everything will be as it should be".
