The Energetic Art of Calling Your Energy Back

All true energy work starts with you and your light body. Before reiki masters are born or healing shamans begin their mystical journeys, they all start at the same place. The Self! By now I’d like to think if you’re reading this than that means you have a basic understanding that you are more than your body. You are an “infinite” divine and beautiful soul within a “temporary” vessel. The “soul” is at its base form, energy. Divine and Sacred Energy to be exact. Can you think of anything more important to protect than your soul and in turn the energy that your soul utilizes to function on the daily? Nope, me either! Everyone wants to tell you that you need to go and buy expensive things, or candles, or baths, or music, or herbs, but what they often fail to see is that all of these things only have power because we give them power. A tool is just a tool until someone chooses and intends to wield it! Think of everything and anything outside of your vessel “self” as simply a tool. It is your energy and intention that breathes life into that tool. So, let me ask you, do we need the tools if we house everything inside of ourselves?

The answer to that is up to you. I have gone back and forth throughout my spiritual and healing journey as to whether tools are needed or add “extra” to what you are intending. I myself like to bring things into the physical existence, in order to, “trick” or use “spicy psychology” on my brain, into order to, help my humanness “conscious-self” adopt the idea or outcome that my energic body has in mind. Me being a very down to earth realist, in a sense, this is what works for me. That being said, do I often toss the tools and go off purely intuition when the time calls, of course! But no matter how you feel, it is undeniable that intentions and energy play a large factor in our daily lives.

Whether we realize it or not we utilize our energy in every interaction and physical action we do throughout the day. Such as, saying, “Hi” to someone on the elevator, or ordering a cup of coffee, all the way to working 8 plus hours at a day job, everything involves a transfer of energy, from one thing/person to another. Since we are all energy, in order to, do all the things we do throughout the day we basically, in a sense, give or “lend” our energy out. Well at the end of each day when we get home, we should call our energy back. Since energy is neither created or destroyed but only transferred, if we don’t call back what is ours, we run the risk of starting each day with less than full power. Think about this, would you hop in your car knowing it only had ½ battery life left and trust it to function normally and get you to your destination, absolutely not. You shouldn’t let yourself start the day with anything less than a full energetic battery either!

The art of calling your energy back is a part of what I call good “Spiritual Hygiene”. Because everything in this universe is intention, we need to declare our intention when we perform this daily practice. In my personal space I call my energy back by saying the following out loud and with some Balls!:

“I call my energy back, from every person, place, and thing, in this dimension or others that no longer serves my greatest highest good.”

I will repeat this 3 times, because I feel the power of 3 amplifies my intention and adds “umph” to my declaration. I add at the end the little “cliff hanger” of that no longer serves my highest good. I do this because I understand and feel as though I may not know what the divine greater plan is with every person I interact with. I leave that part up to Source, Creator, Great Spirit, God, the Universe, whatever the label, I place that in the hands of the Divine, because it makes me at peace. I would encourage you to do what feels right and resonates with your soul, whatever that may be.

This is not a statement I make by itself. Because I know that every interaction is a transfer of energy, we can assume that at least some part of that interaction is reciprocal. While we would all like to hope its equal reciprocity, we often know that is not the case. That being said we can assume that while I gave some of my energy away throughout the day, I also picked-up or received the energy of others throughout the day as well. Everything is a balancing act. That being said it serves me no good in the long run to house the energy of others in my vessel. It often times directly conflicts with the natural energy and frequency our own souls vibrate at.

So, after we call our energy back, we should release the energy of others. Even if they may not practice “Spiritual Hygiene”, we can help them by practicing ours. That excess energy will find it’s way back to its owner, eventually. I release energy with the same conviction I called my energy back with.

“I release ALL energy that is not mine.”

I repeat this 3 times as well, because again the power of 3. I leave out the highest good part on this, because I don’t believe harboring anything outside of yourself is ever within your highest good. So that being said, no need to add it in here.

No matter what level of your spiritual journey you are in, this practice should be utilized at the end of each day, at a minimum before your head hits the pillow!

For my heavy astral travelers!! (don’t know if this applies to you read our astral traveling article)

You should call back your energy upon waking up in addition to before falling asleep. The amazing interactions you have in astral are still a transfer of energy! We still want you to start your day with a full battery. Because I have “in other dimensions” in my above declaration of call-back I just repeat this when I wake-up. But you can specifically say “Astral or Astral Realm” if you so wish.
