The Flower of Life: A Sacred Geometric Symbol

The Flower of Life is an ancient geometric symbol that is found across many traditions and cultures including Egyptian, Buddhist, Hindi, Islamic, and Christian. It is a sacred geometrical shape which symbolizes creation and is a reminder of the unity of everything. Some see this symbol as a feminine representation, but it actually holds both sacred masculine and feminine energy. It is also seen as representing the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

The two-dimensional Flower of Life is composed of 19 overlapping circles that intersect with each other to form a flower-like grid and is believed to contain ancient, sacred knowledge about the origins of the universe. Some believe it holds the secret of the Cosmos/Universe and is the key to unlocking its hidden knowledge. At the center of the Flower of Life it is believed that Source/ Spirit/God created the universe with a geometric plan and it is said to be the basic template for everything in existence and that all forms can be found within it, like the Platonic Solids, Metatron’s Cube and the Merkaba. The Flower of Life can be used in meditative and visualization practices as a way of grounding and centering yourself, raising your vibration, and to connect to creative life force energy as well as divine realms.
